I was looking forward to this game, but my latest Aussie PS mag noted some glaring faults & didn't rate there preview of it, as high as I expected they would. Things like the alien blood not working like acid & other problems. It seems they have gone all out with there attention to detail on some things, then not bothered where it counts.
I'll wait for reviews, as there's enough to buy from now until March.
If it gets great reviews, maybe I'll buy...
It is a needed jump though....we've had 7 years of these awesome machines, so obviously the industry has needed the extra long console getation period, to allow a decent enough leap.
With 360 & PS3, we saw the best graphics very early with games like Fight Night & Motorstorm, & only really scale, artstyle & such have made things look better from those early days.
Like, many of the earlier shooters & such were riddled with greys & brown colors...
I'm sick of all these wacko developers praising it, instead of showing us how good it is with games that prove it is more than just a 360 with a analogue stick laden tablet style controller.
The problem is the Wii-U has shown no signs of being more powerful than a 360 or PS3, so core gamers votes are gonna be hard to get. On saying that, I bought one for myself & it is way better than I thought it would be, but when I get my hands on PS Orbis, it will be obsolete.
Motorstorm (Ps3), Fight Night (360 then PS3), & handfuls of other games decimated PS2 & Xbox1 games.

Oh damn it would be nice if this is true & we get some kind of Cell support in PS4, even if there is just a cheap, basic Cell in there to allow full PS3 game b/c.
Also would be nice if our PSN accounts could be accessed & used of PS4, and all bought Store content could be transferred over or re-downloaded onto the PS4, without any extra charges.

I agree 100% after only playing the demo. I loved DMC 1, part 2 was crap, part 3 back on track, but felt a bit stale, then DMC4 was just an uninspired, back trackathon. You need something in your hand to aim in games like fps's & such, even the Wii-U pad Ninja game proves this. Thats why I see Kinect as a very limited option & tailored towards the casual game & gamers. I just can see Kinect allowing you to aim at the screen acurately & pulling the trigger finger, etc, etc. There is just no way, yet, of that tech. being accurate enough to do it.

Xbox 1 supposedly had the edge, but I had games on both that were equally as impressive, & I'm not talking about the same game side by side, I'm talking about, say, Riddick looking awesome on Xbox, but GOW2 looking just as awesome on PS2.

They released over 1yr after 360 for a considerably higher price, so I would say that MS are the ones that need to do something drastic, as I only see PS3 overtaking 360 sales by another 10-20million over the next 2yrs....and yes, that is with a PS Orbis release at the end of this year.

Wake up moron, Sony came into this biz & blitzed the insurmountable Nintendo, outselling them by massive ammounts. In fact, the best selling console before PS1 arrived was SNES at 60million, PS1 came in as Sony 1st ever attempt at a home console & DOUBLED that number with over 120million PS1's sold. The problem MS has set themselves up with now is that they could drop production & ALL support for 360 any day now, so with what they did with the original Xbox, they have not instilled confidence in consumers on the longevity of there machines.
